INDIANAPOLIS – Sofia Moukaddem will represent the Suffolk women's indoor track & field team at the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championship this weekend, March 13-14, at the Birmingham Crossplex in Birmingham, Alabama. The junior captain made the national championship in the 5000, the NCAA announced Sunday.
A Ram will be featured at the women's indoor championship for the second straight season and fourth time in program history. Moukaddem is the fifth-ever member of Suffolk's women's team to earn a ticket to the national championship, joining Amalia Dorion (2025), Emily Manfra (2019, 2020) and Emma Weisse (2019).
For each individual event contesting, including the heptathlon, the top 20 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition.
Moukaddem, a native of Weston, Massachusetts, clocked a personal-best 16:57.55 in the 5000, the 16th-best performance by a DIII women student-athlete in the event this season at the Tufts Last Chance Qualifier Saturday, March 7 to earn her bid.
