DEDHAM, Mass. – Emily Manfra of the Suffolk women's outdoor track & field team punched her ticket to the 2019 NCAA Division III New England Championships in the mile over the weekend with a top performance at Northeastern's Jay Carissella Coaches Invitational at Soloman Track.
The Stoneham, Massachusetts, product's time of 4:38.40 put the junior in second-place overall in the field of 20, made up primarily of NCAA Division I runners from Dartmouth, New Hampshire, Northeastern and Vermont.
With the spot at outdoor New Englands, Manfra will be the first Ram to compete at the regional level in cross country, indoor and outdoor track & Field.
Prior to the regional event, which is set to take place Saturday, May 5 at Williams, Manfra and the rams set their site on GNAC glory at the conference championships this weekend, Sunday, April 28 at Regis in Weston, Massachusetts.
