Miller Picks Up CNE Track Athlete of the Week

CNE RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Grace Miller of the Suffolk women's outdoor track & field team was named Conference of New England Track Athlete of the Week following her performance at the 60th Colonial Relays over the weekend.

Against some of the best competition that spanned all three NCAA Divisions, the Rams' graduate student made herself and Suffolk's name known in the 3,000 Steeplechase. She ran to NCAA Division III New England qualifying time of 11:17.72 to finish fifth out of the dozen-competitor field that featured runners from Richmond, Bucknell, Washington & Lee and William & Mary. The performance not only was a performance record time for the Rams but ranks Miller 16th in DIII this season in the event.

The outdoor weekly accolade is a first for Miller this season. She is the first Suffolk student-athlete to be recognized by the CNE with a weekly honor since the 4x100 Relay and Sydney Fogg captured Relay Team of and Track Athlete of the Week April 23, 2024.

Miller and the Rams return to action this weekend, April 10-11, at the Silfen Invite in New London, Connecticut.
