BEVERLY, Mass. – Sofia Moukaddem of the Suffolk women's outdoor track & field team raced to Conference of New England Track Athlete of the Week following a pair of podium finishes over the weekend.
Thursday, the junior won the 10k at the Bryan Clay Invitational at Cougar Stadium in Azusa, California. She ran to a program-best 35:20.76 to top the 28-runner field that featured Olympians and competitors from every NCAA division. That performance is the 12th-best showing in NCAA Division III this season in the event.
Two days later, back in the Bay State, she put together a personal-best 4:43.50 in the 1500 to lock up second in the event at MIT's Sean Collier Invitational.
The weekly award is a first for Moukaddem in her outdoor career. She is the second Ram to collect a weekly distinction from the conference this season as Grace Miller was named the best track athlete over a seven-day span April 6, 2026.
Moukaddem and Suffolk return to action this weekend at the 2026 CNE Championships at the Brigham Athletic Complex in Wenham, Massachusetts.
