Volleyball to Host Jimmy Fund Match Saturday

BOSTON – Suffolk women's volleyball has dedicated its Saturday, Sept. 18 showdown against Eastern Nazarene as a volley for a cure event to benefit the Jimmy Fund.

In an effort to raise money and awareness for all kinds of cancer, the Rams and Lions will don different colored laces and ribbons to represent all the various forms of cancers at Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court. Information tables will be set up and reading materials on cancer will be available for fans attending the match.

Donations may be made at the event or online here. All contributions will go directly towards Hollis Strong, a team for the upcoming Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk: Your Way  presented by Hyundai, formed by Suffolk's assistant coach Sarah Hollis in memory of her father, Gary Hollis, who lost his battle with colon cancer. Hollis will walk in the virtual event Saturday, Oct. 3 to "in memory of her dad and to celebrate the institute that took such great care of him."
