Rams Rookies: Volleyball Welcomes Eight Newcomers in 2023
Suffolk volleyball has added depth to its line-up for 2023 as head coach Scott Blanchard brought in an eight-member class.

BOSTON – Suffolk volleyball has added depth to its line-up for 2023 as head coach Scott Blanchard brought in an eight-member class.
Six true freshmen in Noëlle Kuijt, Aislinn Lanigan, Emily Norgrove, Maddy Olson, Sami Shore and Avery Tatasciore are the bulk of the newcomers with sophomore Natalie Huoth starting her collegiate career at Suffolk as well, while junior Sophie Palmer brought her talents to Ram Nation from New England College.
"Very much looking forward to our new additions, they will help provide much needed depth as well as potentially getting significant playing time," Blanchard said.
The group will be sprinkled into a roster that features a dozenreturners from a squad that went 20-10 overall and 6-3 in CCC action, good for fourth in the league's playoffs where the Rams played their way to the semifinals.
The blue-and-gold, who was just predicted to finish second in the CCC in the conference's coaches' poll, aims make the conference championship contest for the first time in program history and hoist a league trophy for the first time.
Suffolk's 2023 season begins at the Great Lakes Crossover in Sandusky, Ohio. The Rams will take on Hiram, Trine, Baldwin Wallace and Heidelberg Sept. 1-2.
