CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Suffolk women's volleyball concludes play at the MIT Invitational with a straight set loss to the tournament's host MIT Saturday morning at the Rockwell Cage. The Engineers defeated the Rams by set scores 25-6, 25-15 and 25-14.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Suffolk trailed 5-2 early before MIT rattled off 15 straight points to put the Rams in a lopsided 20-2 hole. Played evened out the rest of the first frame that ended in the Engineers' favor, 25-6.
- The Rams leapt out to an 8-4 advantage MIT responded with five straight points to take the lead over. After the score tied at 9-all, the Engineers managed to outscore the blue-and-gold 9-2 to extend the gap to 18-11. The teams traded four points to keep the seven-point gap before MIT closed the set with three unanswered for the 25-15 margin.
- The scores tied seven times with the last coming at 10-10. The Engineers compiled a 10-2 spurt before it put the set and match away on a 5-2 stretch.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Chloe Clement registered six kills and four digs.
- Jordyn Mik and Sam Michon logged six kills apiece.
- Aislinn Lanigan recorded 10 assists and three digs.
- Kathy Mo had 14 digs and two helpers.
- Grace Cervenka led at the net with two blocks to go along with one kill and one dig.
NOTEWORTHY
- Suffolk played MIT for the first time since Sept. 5, 2023.
- The Rams and Engineers battled in Cambridge for the third time, first since Sept. 6, 2022.
- Every battle between Suffolk and MIT has ended in straight sets.
