HOW IT HAPPENED
- Suffolk trailed 15-7 at the midway point to use a timeout early. Out of the break the Rams mounted a comeback on an 8-2 run to trim the gap to a pair, 17-15. The Nor'Easters stormed ahead by six once again, but that distance did not last long as the blue-and-gold battled back once again to restore the two-point edge, 21-19. See-saw action swung in the host favor as three quick points turned on set point for UNE, however, the Rams responded with three consecutive points of their own to make things interesting, 24-22. Suffolk's comeback was stopped there as Chloe Miracle put down a kill out of a Nor'Easter timeout to end the first frame.
- The second stanza featured four lead exchanges and eight tied scores with the last locked at 17-all. From there, the Nor'Easters charged ahead as they outscored the Rams, 8-1 to lock up the set, 25-18.
- The Rams faced a double-digit distance early on, 17-7, and were unable to climb out of that hole as UNE quickly put the set and match away, 25-12.
