BOSTON – Suffolk women's volleyball served 13 aces and assembled 18 blocks to cruise by Curry, 3-0, Wednesday night. The Conference of New England (CNE) action at Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court was decided by set scores 25-10, 25-12 and 25-19.
THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Suffolk poured in the first eight points of the night and turned that advantage blossomed to a 16-6 lead at the midway point. It was cruise control for the blue-and-gold as it outscored the Colonels 9-5 the rest of the way to lock up the opening frame, 25-10.
- The Rams rattled off the first five points in the second stanza before back-and-forth action had the gap at three, 12-9. Suffolk began to run away with the stanza as it scored five straight to go on a 13-3 set-ending run, 25-12.
- From a 3-all set, Suffolk rallied around an 8-1 run to grab an 11-4 edge that forced Curry into a timeout. Out of the huddle, the Rams built a double figure gap of 15-5. The Colonels slowly made things interesting as they chipped down the host cushion to four, 23-19. The blue-and-gold managed to seal the set and manage thanks to back-to-back Emily Norgrove kills.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Grace Cervenka had an all-around night as she produced eight kills on a .889 hitting clip with seven digs, five aces and four blocks.
- Sami Shore's stat line was stuff as well with eight kills on a .400 attack percentage and five blocks.
- Norgrove finished with six kills, three blocks and a pair of digs.
- Sam Michon add four kills thanks to a .800 conversion rate on the attack to go along with four blocks and one dig.
- Aislinn Lanigan supplied 15 handouts, three aces, one kill and one dig.
- Delaney More pitched in 10 assists and one dig.
NOTEWORTHY
- The Rams and Colonels met for the 14th time.
- Suffolk won its sixth match versus Curry to move to 10-3 all-time in the series.
- The blue-and-gold is now 6-1 at home versus the Colonels.
- The sweep is the seventh in the all-time series, sixth straight, all of which belong to Suffolk.
- Suffolk is undefeated 6-0 versus Curry under Scott Blanchard's guidance.
- Ela Ergin had one ace in her collegiate debut.
- Audrey Nadeau made her first collegiate appearance.
