Fogg Named 2024 Women’s Cross Country Captain

BOSTON – Sydney Fogg has returned to Suffolk women's cross country roster as a graduate student and will resume her post as the Rams captain, head coach Will Feldman announced.

"Sydney is not only the most accomplished runner on the team, but she brings a wealth of experience that will be valuable for this year's team as they attempt to win a fourth straight conference championship," Feldman said. "Sydney has been a leader and an all-conference performer on every championship team in program history. At this point, Sydney has seen everything and knows exactly what it takes to win a championship."

Feldman continued, "There is an exceptional amount of talent on this year's team, and there's no one I trust more to guide this group to another championship than Sydney."

It will be the third straight season that Fogg will be in the leadership role as she first earned the title in 2022. She is the first solo captain since Olivia Chilcott in 2020.

The York, Maine product has been all-conference performer the last three years to help boost the blue-and-gold to conference glory each of those seasons and looks to anchor the Rams to a fourpeat this fall.

Fogg and Suffolk will lift the lid on its 2024 slate at the 10th Annual Wheaton & Babson Season-Opener at Highland Park in Attleboro, Mass.
