BEVERLY, Mass. – Suffolk women's cross country's freshman Megan Dunn was recognized as the Conference of New England's (CNE) Rookie of the Week after her effort at the 10th Annual Wheaton & Babson Season Opener.
The rookie put together a 13:19.28 3k in her collegiate debut on Saturday to help Suffolk secured a second-place team performance in the field of eight behind NCAA Division I member Holy Cross.
Dunn is the first Ram to collect a weekly award from the league since Ellie Davis was named the conference's best runner over a seven-day stretch Sept. 26, 2022. Rookie wise, Dunn is the first first-year player to grab rookie of the week status since Gwen Koziara did so Oct. 18, 20121.
Dunn and the Rams are idle until Saturday, Sept. 21 when they travel to the Cardinal Invitational at The Wes Fuhrman'05 Trails Cross Country Course in Middletown, Connecticut.
