Moukaddem Races to CNE Runner of the Week, Again

CNE RELEASE 

BEVERLY, Mass. – Suffolk women's cross country's Sofia Moukaddem ran to Conferece of New England (CNE) Runner of the Week for the second time this season thanks to her performance at the 52nd UMass Dartmouth Invitational Saturday. 

The junior that calls Weston, Massachusetts, home clocked a personal-best 6k time of 22:29.6 to lock up 33rd in the 275-runner field. She was the fifth-best NCAA Division III runner through the finisher's chute to anchor the Rams to their best-ever showing at the meet as Suffolk was featured in the team field for the sixth time, first since 2022. 

It is the second weekly accolade for Moukaddem this season as she has taken home the distinction each week she has been action. She is the first Ram to collect multiple weekly awards in a single season since Megan Dunn scooped up the league's rookie of the week twice in 2024. The pair of best runner in a seven-day spans nods is not only a first for Moukaddem, but marks the first for the program in the CNE era, and first since Emily Manfra earned three Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Runner of the Week in 2019. 

Moukaddem and Suffolk will be idle until Friday, Oct. 3 when they jet set to Colfax, Wisconsin for the Blugold Invite at the Whitetail Golf Course.
