COLFAX, Wis. – Suffolk women's cross country shined at the Blugold Invite with a 10th-place performance Friday afternoon at the Whitetail Golf Course.
The Rams combined for 325 points to finish in the top-10 of the 36-team pack at that featured four programs in the United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Top-30. Suffolk's average 6k time of 23:51 put the blue-and-gold as the eighth-best NCAA Division III team in the Badger State.
RAMS RUNNERS
- Sofia Moukaddem was a burst of energy as the junior coasted on the 6k course and came through the finisher's chute in 22:57.6 to lock with 18th.
- Grace Miller was nine spots behind behind Moukaddem in 27th with a time of 23:15.5.
- Amy Pattelena's 23:55.0 secured the senior a spot in the top-100 at 63rd.
- Tess Drury (24:4.4), Paige Estaphan (24:45.1), and Chloe Koo (25:15.4) raced to places inside the top 200.
- Gina Cappello (26:16.5), Kathleen Sullivan (26:30.5), Bailey Ford (26:44.8), Cassie Silkoff (27:03.1) and Laina Fraiser (28:21.2) were featured in the 337-runner varsity race as well.
- Cassie Middleton (25:39.8) and Megan Dunn (26:55.8) represented the Rams in the women's open 6k. The former finished 20th and the latter claimed 47th in the field of 125.
RAMS RECORDS
- Sullivan secured a personal record 6k of 26:30.5.
NOTEWORTHY
- Suffolk competed at the BluGold Invite for the second time in program history, first since 2023.
- The Rams put together their best-ever team finish at the BluGold Invite in 10th, two spots higher than their 2023 12th-place showing.
- Moukaddem produced the best individual showing both finish and time wise at the Blugold Invite. Her 18th-place effort behind a time of 22:57.6 surpassed previous record holder Ellie Davis that claimed 43rd in 2023 when she clocked a 23:45.2.
- Moukaddem and Miller are the first-ever Rams to finish inside the top at the Blugold Invite.

Suffolk is set to race at the James Earley Invitational when it returns to the Bay State Saturday, Oct. 11 at Staonley Park in Westfield, Massachusetts.
