BEVERLY, Mass. – Suffolk women's cross country's Sofia Moukaddem has been named the Conference of New England (CNE) Runner of the Week for the third time this season following her standout performance at the Blugold Invite in Colfax, Wisconsin.

 

The junior paced the Rams once again, finishing 18th overall in the 337-runner field with a 6k time of 22:57.6. The Weston, Massachusetts native, led Suffolk to a 10th-place team finish in the 36-team field, which featured four programs ranked in the United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Top 30. Her showing marked the best individual performance in both time and placement by a blue-and-gold runner at the event as the Rams competed in the Badger State for the seond time in program history, first since 2023. Thanks to her leadership, Suffolk's squad finish was also a program-best at the meet.

The third CNE Runner of the Week honor is the most by any Suffolk runner since Emily Manfra earned three Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) accolades in 2019.

 

Moukaddem and the Rams return to action Saturday, Oct. 11, when they travel to Westfield, Massachusetts for the James Earley Invitational at Stanley Park.
