Pearce Picks Up Ram of the Week

BOSTON – In the final week of exclusive fall sports in action, Ram Nation was put to the task yet again to determine a Ram of the Week, the best performer over a seven-day stretch by a Suffolk University student-athlete via a Twitter Poll.

AND THE WINNER IS … 

Carley Pearce earned the honor by a landslide with 82.5 percent of the 120 votes cast. The recognition comes after the senior provided three assists in a 2-0-0 week for the Rams women's soccer squad.

In a 4-1 win over Wentworth Tuesday, Oct. 19, the Bridgewater, Massachusetts, native set-up a pair of shots, including the game winner. The pair of helpers matched her career high. On Saturday, Oct. 23, she fed Lily Christian for the game-winning goal in a 1-0 cleansheet over Curry. The back-to-back games with an assist is a first for the captain.

Pearce is the fourth member of Suffolk women's soccer to take home Ram of the Week honors this season following behind Christian (Sept. 1-5), Allison Rodrigues (Sept. 6-13), and Haley Long (Oct. 4-10).

RAM RUNNER-UPS 

2ND –14.2% – NIGEL LEO – MEN'S SOCCER

Nigel Leo aided to a 1-1-0 overall and Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) week as he potted both goals in the lone win, a 2-0 shutout of Curry Saturday, Oct. 23.

3RD – 3.3% – MCKENNA KEOWEN – VOLLEYBALL 

McKenna Keowen logged 4.20 kps on a .228 attack percentage over a four-match week in which Suffolk went 2-2 overall and 1-1 versus conference counterparts. She added 1.67 dps to the defensive unit
