In a back-and-forth battle, Suffolk baseball landed on the wrong side of a 9-8, 13-inning decision to Commonwealth Coast Conference counterpart Gordon Tuesday afternoon at J. Tec White Field.

Three games over three days are in store for Suffolk baseball. The Rams will head to Gordon Tuesday, April 9 for a Commonwealth Coast Conference nine-inning tilt, before battling UMass Boston in a home-and-home series the next two days. Suffolk will host the Beacons in Eastie Wednesday, April 10, before the rematch at the Beacons’ home field Thursday, April 11. All three games have 3:00 p.m. first pitches.

Despite 11 strikeouts from starting pitcher Harry Painter, Suffolk baseball fell to UMass Dartmouth in game two of a non-conference doubleheader Saturday at the UMass Dartmouth Baseball Field. The Corsairs took advantage of Rams' relievers to come back and used a bases loaded hit by pitch in the bottom of the seventh to walk-off the win.
