Suffolk baseball emerged in the win column for the first time in 2026 as it took down WPI, 8-6, Thursday afternoon at the New England Baseball Complex.

RAMS RUNDOWN

• Suffolk emerged in the win column for the first time in 2026 with an 8-6 triumph at WPI Thursday. 
• Jack Mihalchik has the hottest bat in the Rams' lineup as the junior has 12 hits behind a .364 batting average for four RBI, five runs scored and three stolen bases. 
• Cole Hilliard has also produced double-digit hits with 11 to his credit on a .324 conversion rate at the plate with four RBI and five runs scored. 
• Sam Armbruster has brought in a team-best seven runs on eight hits, half of which were good for extra bases, with three runs and a pair of stolen bases. 
• Luke Thornton rounds out the top offensive threats at the dish with eight hits, a team-high eight runs, four RBI and one swiped bag. 
• Harry Meehan (9.2 IP, 5 K) and Nick Arnett (6.1 IP, 3 K) are likely to get the nod on the bump for Suffolk's staff. 

JUMBOS JIST

• Tufts sits 8-2 on the season, with its second loss of the season coming to Russell Sage, 10-4, Friday afternoon. 
• James Henshon anchors the offensive output with 13 hits and 11 RBI thanks to a .333/.447/.564 slash line to go along with six runs scored. 
• Jack Kamin has provided 13 hits as well as double figure RBI with 10. He is batting .542 and has scored a squad-best 12 times. 
• Owen McKiernan (7 RBI, 6 R) and Malcolm Whitfield (5 RBI, 7 R) have added nine hits apiece. 
• Pitching wise, Emmet Christian (1.86 ERA, 9.2 IP, 10 K) and Cole Donato (3.48 ERA, 10.1 IP, 9 K) are the most well-rested pitchers in Tufts rotation and could likely hear the call Saturday. 

INSIDE THE SERIES

• Suffolk is 12-26 all-time against Tufts. 
• The Rams and Jumbos will meet for the first time since April 27, 2022. Suffolk won that meeting, 12-10, in Medford.
