LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk baseball overcame an extra-inning, game one loss, with a 7-5 nightcap victory over Roger Williams to split the Conference of New England (CNE) double feature with the Hawks Saturday afternoon at East Boston Memorial Park.

RAMS RUNDOWN

  • Suffolk split a doubleheader with Roger Williams Saturday to sit 5-22 on the year and 3-9 in CNE action. 
  • Jack Mihalchik (34 hits, 10 RBI, 17 runs) and Sam Armbruster (30 hits, 18 RBI, 20 runs) have both produced 30-plus hits to lead Suffolk's scoring that receives consistent contributions from Luke Thornton (27 hits, 11 RBI, 16 runs), Colin Flynn (25 hits, 7 RBI, 16 runs) and Cole Hilliard (22 hits, 10 RBI, 10 runs) as well. 
  • Harry Meehan (29.0 IP, 20 K) and Nick Rubin (13.2 IP, 14 K) are next in the Rams' rotation with Thursday's starter up-in-the-air, however, a staff day is likely.  

GOLDEN BEARS GLANCE

  • Western New England has won three in a row including a doubleheader sweep of Curry Saturday to bring a 15-16 overall mark and 7-5 CNE record into Tuesday. 
  • Leo Paragarino has produced team-leading numbers in hits (53), runs (35) and stolen bases (8) and brought in 17 runs. 
  • Corey Kilroy (30 hits, 26 RBI, 28 runs) and Tyler Waterbury (35 hits, 25 RBI, 27 runs) provide a one-two punch at the plate, while Tyler Kornacki (32 hits, 17 RBI, 21 runs) is a top threat offensively for the Golden Bears as well. 
  • Connor Flynn (5.75 ERA, 20.1 IP, 15 K) and Aidan Bisaillon (5.23 ERA, 20.2 IP, 12 K) are options on the bump for WNE.  

WE MEET AGAIN
Suffolk baseball snapped a four-game skid thanks to Cole Hilliard's a one-run double in the bottom of the 10th to send the Rams to a 7-6 Conference of New England (CNE) victory over Western New England Tuesday, April 7 at East Boston Memorial Park. The graduate student's extra base hit broke a 6-all tie that saw the score even up in the ninth inning after the blue-and-gold held onto an advantage for most of the action.

In a back-and-forth battle, Suffolk baseball had a chance to walk-off to its first win of the season, but came up just shy to Rivier, 12-11, Tuesday, March 17 at East Boston Memorial Park.
