BOSTON – Suffolk men's basketball's head coach Jeff Juron has tabbed the trio of Declan Davis, Connor Strickland and Nick Verdile as tri-captains for the 2025-26 season.
The blue-and-gold will be led by multiple captains for the second straight season, while the group is the first threesome in the role since Conor Creane '22 '23, William Rowe '22, '23 and Aidan Sullivan '23 shared the role in 2022-23. The group will all begin their first term as the Rams' captains.
The triad has been a part of back-to-back conference championship contest appearances and were critical cogs in the program's first-ever 20-win squad a year ago that went 20-8 overall.
Davis, a junior guard from Plymouth, Massachusetts, has add sparks in crucial moments in 31 games over the last two seasons. Overall, he has supplied 35 points, 21 rebounds, 11 assists, five takeaways and one block.
Strickland, a senior Boston, Massachusetts native that transferred his talents to Ram Nation from St. John Fisher in 2022-23, has appearance in 28 games in blue-and-gold. In that time, the guard has totaled 29 boards, seven points, 10 helpers, one swat and one steal.
Verdile is the lone every day player in the bunch as the junior from Ballston Spa, New York, has been announced in the line-up 29 times of the 55 games he has played in over the last two campaigns. The sharp, shooting guard averages 8.4 points per game behind an impressive 44.7 connection rate from downtown to go along with 1.9 assists per outing and 2.7 rebounds per contest.
The leadership unit make up 60 percent of Suffolk's returners as the on a 17-player squad features a dozen fresh faces including nine true freshmen.
