Suffolk men's basketball was handed an 80-69 setback by UMass Dartmouth in the consolation contest of the Trinity Holiday Tournament New Year's Eve at Stan Ogrodnik Court at Ray Oosting Gymnasium.

RAMS RUNDOWN

HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS

  • Hartford enters Saturday at 7-4 overall and 1-1 in conference play following an 82-81 victory over Conn. College on Dec. 29.
  • Kyle Winters is a do-it-all guard that produces 15.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per contest.
  • Kaosi Chijoke provides a strong interior presence with 14.4 ppg and brings down a team-high 7.6 boards per game.
  • Drew Stack (12.7 ppg) and Kent Olewiler (10.7 ppg) round out Hartford's double-figure scorers, with both shooting just above 36 percent from beyond-the-arc.
  • Hartford's offense will challenge Suffolk stifling defense as the Hawks average 79.7 ppg and shoot 44.3 percent from the floor as a team.
