Suffolk men’s hockey returned to the win column Friday night as Rams took down Western New England, 4-1, at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink. Peter Nugent’s career-high two-goal night led the winning effort in an outing that Suffolk donned gray-and-white camo sweaters to recognized and honor past, present and future members of the military.
Less than 24 hours after the Rams took down the Leopards in overtime, 2-1, at Porrazzo Rink, Suffolk men’s hockey did it again as Ryan Webb’s goal at 2:54 in the extra session Saturday afternoon lifted the blue-and-gold to the Commonwealth Coast Conference victory by an identical score at Allied Veterans Memorial Rink.
Kyle Valiquette put away the game-winner with 2:09 remaining in overtime to push Suffolk men’s hockey to a 2-1 triumph over Commonwealth Coast Conference foe Wentworth Friday night at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.
Suffolk men’s hockey’s Ryan Webb took home Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week after his showing in a home-and-home series with Nichols over the weekend, the league office announced Monday.
Nichols netted two goals in a three-minute span in the third period to hand Suffolk men’s hockey a 4-3 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) loss Saturday at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.
Suffolk men’s hockey will start a new chapter of its record book this weekend when the Shawn McEachern era begins with a home-and-home Commonwealth Coast Conference series against Salve Regina. The Rams will entertain the Seahawks at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink Friday, Nov. 4 at 6 p.m., before the blue-and-gold venture to Newport, Rhode Island, Saturday, Nov. 5 for a 7 p.m. showdown.
