BOSTON – Suffolk men's ice hockey is ready for a Conference of New England (CNE) home-and-home series with No. 7 University of New England this weekend. The Rams travel to Biddeford Maine on Friday, Jan. 9 at 7:00 p.m. before hosting the Nor'easters Saturday, Jan. 10 at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink at 6:00 p.m.

In a back-and-forth affair, Roger Williams came back and scored three unanswered to take down Suffolk men's ice hockey, 5-3, in Conference of New England (CNE) action Tuesday night at Driscoll Arena.

SUFFOLK SCORES
RAMS RUNDOWN
- Suffolk enters Saturday at 5-6-1 and 5-2-1 in conference play.
- Suffolk's special teams are elite, ranking fourth nationally on the penalty kill (90.9 percent) and 19th on the power play (25.5 percent).
- Marko Giourof leads the CNE in scoring with nine goals to go with seven assists. The forward extended his point streak to five Tuesday when he posted his first career three-point performance to bring his total to six goals and four assists during the streak.
- Nolan Leonard continues his hot stretch with an eight-game point streak, tallying 15 points (4g, 11a) over the span. The forward ranks third in the conference in assists and fourth in points.
- Daniel McKiernan ranks third on the team with 10 points (6g, 4a), including three power play tallies.
- Bobby Lachance and Cole Scott round out the top scoring production with seven points each on identical four-goal, three-assist stat lines.
- Austin McNicholas has started all 11 games, posting a 5-6-1 record with a 2.17 goals against average and a .897 save percentage.
NOR'EASTERS NOTES
- UNE enters the weekend atop the conference standings with an 9-3-0 overall record and 6-1-0 mark in CNE competition.
- The Nor'easters feature one of the most balanced attacks in Division III, ranking fourth nationally in scoring offense (4.58 goals per game) and 11th in scoring defense (2.08 goals allowed per game).
- UNE owns the 13th ranked power play in Division III (27.1 percent) and the top-ranked penalty kill, operating at a perfect 100 percent.
- Dominic Murphy (6g, 13a) and Drew Olivieri (6g, 12a) rank first and second in the conference in points, respectively.
- Juraj Elias sits fifth in the CNE with 14 points on six goals and eight helpers, while Nathan Chickering ranks ninth in the league behind five goals and five assists.
- Harrison Chesney has anchored the Nor'easters in net with an 8-3-0 record, a 1.93 goals against average, and a .918 save percentage.
INSIDE THE SERIES
- Suffolk and UNE will meet for the 19th time in the series that dates back to the 2011-12 season.
- The Nor'easters hold a 16-1-1 advantage in the all-time series.
