In a back-and-forth battle, Abhi Patel's single victory secured a 4-3 Conference of New England (CNE) victory for Suffolk men's tennis over the University of New England Thursday afternoon at the Blue Cyclone Complex.

RAMS RUNDOWN

  • Suffolk snapped a four-match skid with a 4-3 victory at the University of New England Thursday to carry a 2-6 overall and league ledger to Milton, Massachusetts Saturday. 
  • Despite suffering his first setback of the season at UNE, Christian Gardner is the winningest singles racquet on the year at 4-1 split between courts one (2-1) and two (2-0). 
  • Jason Yany has won back-to-back singles matches to hold a 2-6 mark on the lower half of the blue-and-gold's ladder.
  • Gardner is a crucial key to the most successful doubles team as well as the sophomore has partnered with Abhi Patel for the top tandem. That duo is 2-1 on the year exclusively at No. 1. 

COLONELS CATCHUP

  • Curry is 0-14 on the year and 0-7 in CNE action this year. 
  • Maitreya Abend, who usually plays No. 4, is the winningest singles player at 2-6
  • Erin Flynn is the Colonels' ace and is 0-6 on the season. 
  • Curry usually uses Brady Antaya and Carson Bakunas as the top tandem.  

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk is 9-1 all-time in the series with the Colonels.
