BOSTON – Suffolk women's basketball aims to keep its unbeaten start alive as the Rams welcome Coast Guard to Larry E. Smith and Michael S. Smith Court Thursday, Nov. 20 for a 5:00 p.m. matchup.

LAST TIME OUT
In a game that featured five lead changes, three of which came in the fourth quarter, Jordan Moreau came up clutch for Suffolk women's basketball as she swished a pair of freebies with 1.7 seconds left in regulation to send the Rams to their fifth straight win, a 67-66 victory over Coast Guard Thursday night at Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court.

RAMS RUNDOWN

  • Suffolk is 5-0 on the season for the first time since 2023-24. 
  • Allison Bono has been a true two-way player as she tops the team offensively with 14.0 ppg and 3.2 apg. Defensively, her 7.8 rpg leads the pack on the boards as well.  
  • Jordan Moreau provides 14.0 ppg as well to the Rams' 70.2 ppg scoring unit. 
  • Olivia Verdile pitches in 12.2 ppg thanks to a 46.4 conversion rate from downtown. The junior adds 5.6 rpg to the squad's 45.4 rpg effort. 
  • Tatiana Tune (7.8 ppg, 5.2 rpg) and Ariana Ingram (7.4 ppg, 5.2 rpg) are contributors on both sides of the ball for the blue-and-gold as well. 
  • Suffolk is outrebounding its foes by a 10.8 margin.         

LYONS LOOKOUT

  • After losing its first two games of the season, Wheaton has coupled back-to-back wins together, an 84-81 overtime decision at Rivier and a 79-75 triumph over Framingham State, to sit 2-2 on the year. 
  • Kiki Walters is the main cog in the Lyons' 65.0 ppg offense as she supplies 18.5 ppg and 2.8 apg. She adds 2.8 spg to the defensive unit
  • Cheyene Colberts (17.8 ppg, 5.5 rpg) and Regan Keyter (12.3 ppg, 7.3 rpg) contribute on both ends of the hardwood with 17.8 ppg and 5.5 rpg.
  • Mary Claire McClintock is a topic of conversation when it comes to defense with 6.0 rpg and 2.3 spg. 

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk defeated Wheaton for the first time in program history a year ago with a 90-85 double overtime win in Boston, Nov. 20, 2024. 
  • The Rams are now 1-4 versus the Lyons all-time in a series that started Jan. 12, 2006. 
  • The blue-and-gold will head to Norton, Massachusetts to the first time since Nov. 16, 2014, a 77-59 loss.
