HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk got on the board with just over 10 minutes left in the first frame. The Engineers were whistled for a foul that set up a free kick for the Rams at RPI's 32nd yard-line. Annabel Veale lofted a go-ahead kick that found Goldman. The senior cut into the box and scored high right to give the blue-and-gold a 1-0 upperhand, which it took into the locker room.
In the second stanza, the Rams put two more shots on target, but both were denied by RPI's keeper, Audrey Montero. Suffolk's defense on the other hand kept the Engineers without an attempt on target to preserve the victory.
