BOSTON – Suffolk women's soccer heads back on the road this Saturday, Sept. 13, for its Conference of New England (CNE) opener at Hartford. The Rams will take the pitch at AL-Marzook Field at Alumni Stadium with kickoff set for 2:00 p.m.

Suffolk women's soccer used goals from five different scorers to best Rivier, 5-0, in its home opener Tuesday evening at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park.

RAMS RUNDOWN

  • Suffolk enters Saturday's showdown at 3-0-1. 
  • The Rams have shutout their first four foes on the season and are coming off a 5-0 offensive of Rivier Tuesday.
  • Suffolk has not conceded a goal through 360 minutes of play, marking the second year in a row it has gone its first four games without allowing a score.

SUFFOLK IN CNE OPENER

  • Suffolk is 1-3-0 in its CNE debuts. 
  • The Rams won their first and only CNE opener in 2023 with a 1-0 shutout over Wentworth. 
  • Suffolk will face Hartford in the CNE debut for the first time. 
  • There have been two shutouts in Suffolk's all-time CNE debuts, a 2-0 setback to Gordon in the first-ever CNE opener in 2021 and a 1-0 cleansheet over Wentworth in 2023.
  • On the road the Rams are 0-2-0 in the first CNE game of the year. 
  • Suffolk begins its CNE schedule on the road for the second straight season and third time overall. 
  • At home Suffolk is 1-1-0 in its CNE openers.  

HAWKS HIGHLIGHT

  • Hartford sits at 3-0-1, coming off a 3-0 victory against Eastern Connecticut State on Tuesday, marking their third straight win.
  • The Hawk's attack is led by Kathleen Brush, who has tacked up 10 points on three goals and two assists.
  • Mayson Massaro (2g), Anastasia Nerney (1g, 2a), and Cameryn Wilkinson (2g) each stand at four points going into Saturday's match.
  • Hartford has six different players who have found the back of the net through its four games played.
  • Sejal Johnson has nearly ever minute in net, showcasing a 0.75 goals against average and a .842 save percentage on 16 saves made.

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk and Hartford will meet for the third time on Saturday.
  • The Rams are 0-2 in the all-time series, with both matchups coming during the Ellie McDougall era.
  • The Rams are 0-1 on the road against the Hawks.
  • Suffolk will travel to Hartford for the first time since Sept. 30, 2023.

RamFest is part of Suffolk Weekend, which brings together the entire University community. The weekend is the perfect opportunity for members of the Suffolk community and their families to reconnect or get acclimated with Suffolk, reminisce with old friends, make new ones and enjoy beautiful Boston in the fall. Following Rammy's Fun Run, the family friendly fan fest festivities begin at 11:30 a.m. An afternoon of community, entertainment and school spirit is in store. Event highlights include: 

  • A variety of food trucks with local favorites
  • Live performances by Suffolk University's house band The Common
  • Men's and Women's Soccer Games – support the Rams on their Senior Days! 
  • Cornhole Tournament – register with a teammate to or get paired day-of 
  • Axe Throwing and Gladiator Joust for some friendly competition
  • Yard games and airbrush pennants to round out the fun

Tickets are required to participate in RamFest and grants you access to food trucks and activities at the fields throughout the afternoon. Alumni, family and friends can purchase their $20 tickets here.
