HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Out of the fifth tie of the first set, 5-all, Suffolk stormed in front 10-6 to force Bridgewater State into an early timeout. • Suffolk held onto the edge, 15-13, before Bridgewater State battled back with five unanswered to put the Rams in an 18-15 hole. That gap grew to 22-18, which caused Scott Blanchard to take a timeout. The Ram outscored the Bears out of the break, 4-3, but it would not be enough to comeback as BSU locked up the stanza, 25-22.
  • The Ram were up 9-7 and a case of déjà vu flew in as the Bears scored seven straight to take the upperhand, 14-9. Suffolk was unable to find its grove the rest of the way and BSU sealed the set and match, 25-24.
