BOSTON – Suffolk women's volleyball returns to Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court on Tuesday, Sept. 30, at 7:00 p.m. to take on Roger Williams in Conference of New England (CNE) play.

LAST TIME OUT
The Rams wrapped up the Swarthmore Invitational over the weekend, falling in all three matches to Scranton, Swarthmore, and Stockton.

RAMS RUNDOWN

  • Suffolk dipped to 6-10 on the season after it fell in all three matches at the Swarthmore Invitational over the weekend. 
  • Prior to heading to Pennsylvania, the Rams Johnson & Wales, 3-1, in their CNE opener to hold a 1-0 league ledger.
  • Suffolk leans on Chloe Clement, who leads the attack at 1.91 kps followed closely by Grace Cervenka (1.90 kps) and Emily Norgrove (1.64 kps).
  • Aislinn Lanigan continues to run the offense efficiently, averaging 6.45 assists per set, while adding 0.35 service aces per set.
  • Emmy Thomander contributes to both sides of the ball with1.67 kps and 0.63 bps. 
  • Kathy Mo (4.40 dps) and Clement (2.74 dps) defend the backline for the Rams.

HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS

  • Roger Willaims rides a two-match win streak into Tuesday's match to sit 5-8 on the year and 1-0 in CNE. The back-to-back victories came over Curry in straight sets and against UMass Boston, 3-1.
  • Kaylee Jackson leads the team with 2.15 kps and adds 2.60 dps on the defensive side. Brianna Picchietti and Izzy Unsworth follow with 2.07 kps and 2.02 kps, respectively.
  • Peyton Felix adds 1.90 kps, while showing a strong presence at the net with 0.88 bps.
  • Defensively, Marianna Hernandez posts 3.46 dps, while Kaydence Fish provides a team-best 1.18 bps.

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • The Rams and Hawks will meet for the 22nd time since 1998.
  • Suffolk trails the series, 19-2. 
  • Nine matches have been played in Boston (1-8), seven in Bristol, Rhode Island (1-6) and five at a neutral site (0-5).
  • The two sides have split CNE meetings at 2-2.
  • The blue-and-gold are 2-3 against the Hawks under Scott Blanchard's leadership.
  • Twelve (12) of the 22 meetings have ended in straight sets, 10 in favor of the Hawks and both of the Rams' triumphs.
  • Six outings were four set decisions. Two came away and at a neutral site, respectively, with a pair of 3-1 contests in Beantown. 
  • There have only three instances where five sets were needed, including the last meeting. The Hawks have taken all 3-2 decisions.
