BOSTON – Suffolk women's volleyball will step away from Conference of New England (CNE) competition Wednesday, Oct. 15 when Brandeis stops by Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court for a 6:00 p.m. first serve.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk women's volleyball fell in straight sets to Wentworth in Conference of New England (CNE) action Saturday at Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court. The Rams loss via set scores 25-9, 25-15 and 25-11.

RAMS RUNDOWN

  • Suffolk was swept in its last two matches to fall to 7-13 on the year. 
  • Grace Cervenka (1.89 kps, 0.54 bps) and Emmy Thomander (1.68 pks, 0.58 bps) are two-way players for the blue-and-gold leading the way offensively and defensively. 
  • Chloe Clement chips in on both sides of the net as well with 1.83 kps and 2.68 dps. 
  • Emily Norgrove notches 1.71 kps.
  • Aislinn Lanigan directs the attack with 6.50 assists per set.
  • Kathy Mo anchors the backline with 4.42 dps and is the biggest threat on the serve with 0.46 aces per set.  

JUDGES JIST

  • Brandeis was swept in two UAA matches in Ohio over the weekend to bring a 7-13 record to Boston. 
  • Anan Ertischeck paces the attack with 3.86 kps with Madison Haft-Abromovitch (2.40 kps) and Kennedy Lilly (2.08 kps) supply over 2.00 kps apiece to the Judges' 11.10 kps.
  • Alexa Ho and Julia Liang split Brandeis' setting responsibilities with 7.05 and 6.58 assists per set, respectively. 
  • Lara Demoraes (2.88 dps), Ava Ferrigno (2.69 dps), Claudia Aber (0.65 bps) and Colette Ejang (0.61 bps) are consistent contributors to the defense. 

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Since 2003, Suffolk and Brandeis have met three times. 
  • The Judges swept the Rams in all three meetings with the last coming Sept. 1, 2021 at Brandeis. 
  • Suffolk will host Brandeis for the first time.

The Rams have a full Saturday in store as they take their talents to Dudley, Massachusetts for the Bison October Tri-Match. Suffolk will start Oct. 18 in a CNE showdown against Nichols at 11 a.m., before battling MCLA at 1 p.m.
