Suffolk men’s hockey saw five unanswered goals scored five unanswered goals, four on the power play, to take down Commonwealth Coast Conference foe Wentworth Saturday at Allied Veterans Memorial Skating Rink. All five Rams goals were scored off different sticks to help sweep the Leopards.

Suffolk men’s hockey went goal-for-goal over the first two periods. Neither the Rams nor the Golden Bears were able to gain the edge in the third or the five-minute overtime to have the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) contest end in a 3-3 deadlock Saturday night at the Olympia Ice Center. WNE went on to grab the shootout, 2-1.

Suffolk men’s hockey wrapped up its weekend at the Bowdoin Colby Classic with a 6-3 setback to Colby at The Jack Kelly Rink Sunday afternoon.  The Mules scored three straight goals in the third period to break a 2-all tie and skate away with the victory.

Suffolk men’s hockey took an early edge it held onto for most of the game, but a last-second strike by No. 11 University of New England tied the game at 1-all and forced overtime where the Nor’Easters netted the game winner to take down the Rams, 2-1, in Commonwealth Coast Conference play at Harold Alfond Forum Saturday night.

Rams Rookies: 15 to Join Men’s Hockey in 2023-24

Shawn McEachern, head coach of Suffolk men’s hockey, has announced 15 new members have joined the Rams’ ranks for the 2023-24 campaign. The group, one of the largest recruiting classes in recent history, features 14 true freshmen and one sophomore transfer.
