BOSTON – League glory is on the line this weekend as Suffolk men's cross country and its Conference of New England (CNE) counterparts are all headed to Wenham, Massachusetts for the 2025 CNE Championship. The title race is set for a 12 p.m. start on the campus of Gordon College.

CNE CHAMPIONSHIPS
- The CNE has crowned a men's cross country champion every year since 1994 except for 2020 due to COVID-19.
- Gordon will host the event for the first time since fifth time, first since 2023.
- Roger Williams has won the last four titles and owns a conference-best 20 banners.
- Wentworth wore the crown three years in a row from 2015-17.
- Gordon went back-to-back twice, in 1994 and 1995 and again in 1997 and 1998.
- The University of New England was a repeat champion in successive seasons in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
- Former CNE member Eastern Nazarene College broke up Gordon's run with the 1996 championship to its credit.
- Suffolk's men have finished as the CNE runner-up in each of its appearances on the championship course dating back to 2021.
ALL-CNE
- Student-athletes that finish in the top 15 will capture all-conference recognition. The distinctions will be broken down to first-team (1-5), second-team (6-10) and third-team (11-15).
- Nine Rams runners have claimed All-CNE all-time in the last four seasons.
- Hayden Green is the only active Ram to be an all-league honoree and has earned the distinction in each of the last three years. The senior is one of three Suffolk student-athletes with multiple All-CNE accolades as Thomas Novy (2022, 2023, 2024) has three and Tim Barry (2023, 2024) raced to a pair. Green could make history and be the first-ever Suffolk male to capture all-conference each season of his collegiate career.
- The most Suffolk men to capture All-CNE recognition, a spot in the top-15, was four, which happened the last two seasons
RAMS at CNEs
- Suffolk has seen five student athletes run to spots in the top five at the CNE Championship over the last four years.
- Matyas Csiki-Fejer cruised to an individual title in 2021 in the men's 8k. He is the only runner in blue-and-gold to claim individual medalist honors in the history of the CNE Championship.
- Tim Barry was the 2024 runner-up with an 8k time of 25:25.95.
- Nic Malm claimed fourth in 2021 behind an 8k effort of 27:14.
- Suffolk has seen a pair of student-athletes finish fifth in Thomas Novy (26:32.6) and Hayden Green (26:45.8) in 2023 and 2022, respectively.
CNE CHAMPIONSHIPS at GORDON
- Suffolk will race for the CNE Championship on the campus of Gordon College for the second time, first since 2023.
- The Rams registered 57 points as a team when competing at the CNE Championship at Gordon two years ago.
- Thomas Novy has the best individual showing on the championship course in Wenham, Massachusetts as he came through the 8k finisher's chute n 26:32.6 to capture fifth.
- Hayden Green clocked a 27:01.4, good for 12th, and Sean Jacobsen was four spots behind him as he crossed the tape in 27:10.3.
- Michael Najarian rounds out the active Rams that have run at the conference championship at Gordon. He put together a time of 34:49.2.
SUFFOLK'S SCOUT
- Hayden Green looks to pace Suffolk's squad on Saturday and could make program history with his fourth all-conference honor with a spot in the top-15.
- Freshman Matthew Ramarge will have an opportunity to secure a spot in the top-15 as well.
- Sean Jacobsen, Sebastian Vickers-Richard and Declan Shannon should round out Suffolk's scorers.
LAST TIME OUT
Eric Anderson donned the blue-and-gold to be the lone member of Suffolk men's cross country to compete at the 29th James Earley Invitational Saturday, Oct. 11 at Stanley Park.

SUFFOLK'S SCHEDULE
The Rams will not only host the NCAA Division III East Regionals Saturday, Nov. 15, but will also compete at the meet at Hopkinton Fairgrounds in Hopkinton, New Hampshire.
