BOSTON – Suffolk softball will head to Curry Tuesday, April 21 for a rescheduled Conference of new England (CNE) doubleheader with the Colonels that is scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m.

Suffolk softball dropped the second half of its Conference of New England (CNE) doubleheader to Hartford on Saturday at Griswold Field, 8-2.

RAMS RUNDOWN

  • Suffolk splits its doubleheader with Hartford Saturday to sit one game above .500 overall (15-14) and bring an even 6-6 CNE ledger into Tuesday's action. 
  • Dana Still has had a hot bat as of late as she rides a 13-game hit streak behind a .352 batting average. Overall, she has 25 hits, including six doubles, WITH 12 rbi, 18 runs scored and a team-best six stolen bases. 
  • Ava Lanza has a team-high 32 hits with 15 RBI and 16 runs scored to her credit. 
  • Jolie Quintana (29 hits, 8 RBI, 18 runs), Julia Mills (27 hits, 19 RBI, 19 runs) and Catherine Carignan (26 hits, 26 RBI, 12 runs) are consistent contributors offensively as well. 
  • Cynthia Rucinski (3.84 ERA, 111.1 IP, 95 K) and Lily Newhall (3.64 ERA, 82.2 IP, 41 K) have split time in the circle for the blue-and-gold.  

COLONELS CATCHUP

  • Curry was swept by Endicott in a twin bill Saturday to move to 10-20 on the year and 3-11 in CNE contests. 
  • The twosome of Skylar Colburn and Tara Goldman have produced 18 hits apiece to pace the Colonels offense. The duo has brought in five runs apiece, while Goldman has scored 11 runs. 
  • Ana Tsonis has produced 17 hits, 10 RBI and eight runs scored. 
  • Lindsay DesRoberts has added 11 hits, 12 RBI and three runs scored. 
  • Kassidy Lobb has taken on the bulk of the work load on the rubber with 72.0 innings of work in 19 appearances including 13 starts. She boasts a 5.54 ERA with 23 strikeouts. 
  • Morgan Barmash (4.01 ERA, 50.2 IP, 19 K), Tsonis (4.40 ERA, 35.0 IP, 9 K) and Isabella Monstanto (9.78 ERA, 29.1 IP, 14 K) are twirling options as well.  

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk holds a strong 28-12 all-time advantage over Curry.
  • The Rams and Colonels split last season's series, April 16, 2025, with Curry taking the opener 2-1 before Suffolk responded with a 9-6 win in the nightcap.
