Suffolk women's basketball pulled the curtain back on its 2025-26 season in the win column as it took down Rivier, 75-64, Friday night at Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court

RAMS RUNDOWN

  • Suffolk started the year in the win column behind a 75-64 triumph over Rivier Friday night.
  • Allison Bono anchored the Rams' offensive output in game one with 17 points on a 57.1 connection rate from the floor. She led the rebounding unit as well with eight boards. 
  • Jordan Moreau and Olivia Verdile poured in double figures in scoring against the Raiders as well with 12 and 11, respectively.  The latter logged seven caroms. 
  • Tatiana Tune was a two-way player Friday night with nine points and six boards.  

BEARCATS BREAKDOWN

  • Baruch fell to Emerson, 73-36, Saturday to bring a 0-1 mark to Beacon Hill Sunday. 
  • Isabella Kostyal-Larrier logged 11 points and seven rebounds versus the Lions. 
  • D'Andre McRae added eight points and seven caroms in game one for Baruch.  

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk and Baruch will meet for the first time since 2003
  • The blue-and-gold bested Baruch, 80-28, Nov. 27, 2003, in the first and only known meeting between the Rams and Bearcats.
  • The last and only battle in the series took place in Boston.
