She skated in on a 2-on-1 and put the puck away top shelf to give the blue-and-gold a 1-0 edge.
- The Gulls got the goal back just about 10 minutes later. Jo Wilmer took and won the face-off at the right dot in Suffolk's zone. Wilmer played the puck back to Lilly Corso, who wasted no time to snipe an attempt over Katelyn Michals' stick side shoulder to even the playing field at 1-all at the 14:47 mark.

Caballero's attempt was fired first, Nichipor knocked the rebound to a waiting Hill in front, who put two shots on net and the second one paid off to put the blue-and-gold within two, 5-3, with plenty of time left.
- The three-goal gap was restored at the midway point of the final frame, however, as Wimler struck for the second time on the night.
- Moose gave Suffolk some hope with just four three minutes to play. The senior captain scored on the power play thanks to help from Caballero and Hill to trim the deficit to back to two, 6-4, at the 16:28 mark.
