EAST BOSTON – Suffolk women's ice hockey fell to the University of New England, 5-0, in Conference of New England (CNE) action Friday night at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Adria Tebo potted a pair of goals over a 2:07 span in the first period to give the Nor'Easters a 2-0 edge at the first intermission. 
  • UNE doubled the distance with two more goals in the middle period. The first game 1:29 into the action off Averi Curran's stick and 14 minutes later Jamie DuPont chipped one away in transition to put the Rams in a four-goal hole. 
  • Lainie Lemieux logged her name on the score sheet with a strike 5:39 into the third period for the 5-0 final in UNE's favor.  

NETMINDER NOTES

  • Katelyn Michals started and produced 20 saves in nearly 36 minutes of play. 
  • Lucy Cantin came in for the final 24:14 and had 21 stops to her credit. 
  • Kyleigh Matola produced a 22-save shutout for the Nor'Easters.
