BOSTON – Suffolk women's soccer brings is unbeaten record back to East Boston Memorial Park's James A. Sartori Stadium this Wednesday, Sept. 16., to conclude its home non-conference slate against Lesley at 7 p.m.

Suffolk women's soccer pulled the curtain back on its Conference of New England (CNE) calendar victorious as the Rams shutout Hartford, 1-0, Saturday afternoon at Al-Marzook Field at Alumni Field.

SUFFOLK SCORES

RAMS RUNDOWN 

  • Suffolk is now 4-0-1 overall, remaining undefeated through the first five games for the second consecutive season. 
  • The Rams have not conceded a goal in any of their first five contests, marking the longest shutout streak to start a season and most cleansheets in a row since they compiled seven Oct. 1-20, 2011. 
  • Goalkeepers Arden Rose and Jaiden Wilds have combined for five cleansheets and 15 saves. Rose recorded her third career shutout in as many games played last Saturday against Hartford. Wilds, meanwhile, is responsible for the other two.
  • Offensively, Lily Goldmann leads the team with two goals and four points.
  • Daniela Petronio has picked up points in consecutive games to raise her total to four with one goal and two assists. 
  • Paige Kennedy, Vivienne Murphy, Isa Peraza, Avery Porter, and Angelina Giovanni have all tacked on one goal apiece. 

LYNX LOOK 

  • Lesley enters the contest at 1-1-1 overall and is coming off a 4-0 victory over Mass Maritime on Sept. 9. 
  • Marissa De La Rosa charges the attack with two goals and four points in two games.
  • Elsie Koehler (1g, 1a) and Milana Rosazza (1g) have pitched in three points and two points, respectively, to Lesley's four-goal scoring unit. 
  • Goalkeeper Madison Reed has put together a 3.00 GAA and .600 save percentage with nine saves over two games, while Lloy Bartolotti logged a 90-minute, one-save shutout at Mass. Maritime. 

INSIDE THE SERIES 

  • Suffolk and Lesley have met 11 times since 2012.
  • Suffolk sits 2-8-1 all-time versus Lesley.
  • The Rams have taken control of the season as of late, with a 2-1-1 ledger versus the Lynx in the last four meetings.

RamFest is part of Suffolk Weekend, which brings together the entire University community. The weekend is the perfect opportunity for members of the Suffolk community and their families to reconnect or get acclimated with Suffolk, reminisce with old friends, make new ones and enjoy beautiful Boston in the fall. Following Rammy's Fun Run, the family friendly fan fest festivities begin at 11:30 a.m. An afternoon of community, entertainment and school spirit is in store. Event highlights include: 

  • A variety of food trucks with local favorites
  • Live performances by Suffolk University's house band The Common
  • Men's and Women's Soccer Games – support the Rams on their Senior Days! 
  • Cornhole Tournament – register with a teammate to or get paired day-of 
  • Axe Throwing and Gladiator Joust for some friendly competition
  • Yard games and airbrush pennants to round out the fun

Tickets are required to participate in RamFest and grants you access to food trucks and activities at the fields throughout the afternoon. Alumni, family and friends can purchase their $20 tickets here. After Wednesday's non-conference tilt, Suffolk returns to CNE play on Saturday, Sept. 20, traveling to face Endicott at Hempstead Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
