Allison Rodrigues of the Suffolk women’s outdoor track & field team took home one of the league’s top honor as the junior was named CCC Field Athlete of the Year Thursday, the conference office announced.
In its first year competing for the Commonwealth Coast Conference crown, Suffolk women’s outdoor track & field took fourth at the CCC Championships Sunday at Portsmouth High School.
Suffolk women’s outdoor track & field had another standout showing this weekend at its own Suffolk Invite. In the 16 events that were scattered over Saturday and Sunday at both Hingham High School and Gordon’s Brigham Athletic Complex, the Rams competed in 13 and won nine.
Suffolk men’s and women’s outdoor track & field will head back to Wenham, Massachusetts this weekend for the second Gordon Invite Saturday, April 17. The event, which features the host Gordon, Nichols, Salve Regina, and Roger Williams, has a 10 a.m. start time.
Suffolk women’s track & field participated in its first event since 2019 Saturday afternoon as the Rams lifted the lid on its scheduled at the Gordon Invite at the Brigham Athletic Complex.
