CNE CHAMPIONSHIPS

  • The CNE has crowned a cross country champion dating back to 1994 for the women except for the 2020 season due to COVID-19.
  • Gordon will host the event for the seventh time, first since 2023.
  • The Fighting Scots ruled the league early on with four titles scattered from 1994-99.
  • Roger Williams was a powerhouse in the league with a dozen titles on its resume including 11 straight from 2000 through 2010.
  • All of the University of New England's seven banners came in a row from 2012-18.
  • Suffolk has captured the crown in every single season it has competed at the league's title race dating back to 2021.
  • Salve Regina has one championship, in 2011.

ALL-CNE

  • Student-athletes that finish in the top 15 will capture all-conference recognition. The distinctions will be broken down to first-team (1-5), second-team (6-10) and third-team (11-15).
  • In 2021, three Suffolk women earned all-conference.
  • A year later the Rams doubled that, as six of their top seven runners garnered all-league with a spot in the top 15.
  • The last two seasons, five student-athletes grabbed all-conference.
  • Overall, 11 students have combined for 19 all-conference distinction in the last four years.
  • Amy Pattelena has three all-league accolades on her resume and could become the second-ever Ram to capture four behind Sydney Fogg, who accomplished the feat a year ago.
  • Sofia Moukaddem owns a pair of all-conference awards, one at Suffolk last year and one when she raced for Endicott in 2023.

RAMS at CNEs

  • Suffolk has claimed the CNE Championship in four straight seasons and in as many appearances dating back to 2021.
  • Katelyn Brunt (23:45), Ellie Davis (22:58.6) and Amalia Dorion (22:13.06) all turned in the best individual finishes by a blue-and-gold runner at the meet as they finished third in 2022, 2023 and 2024, respectively.
  • Dorion's 6k time of 22:13.06 a year ago is a Suffolk CNE Championship record.

CNE CHAMPIONSHIPS at GORDON

  • Suffolk has raced for the CNE Championship at Gordon once, in 2023.
  • The Rams combined for 44 team points to top the seven-team field two years ago in Wenham, Massachusetts.
  • The best 6k showing by a Ram on Gordon's championship course was Ellie Davis' 22:58.6 effort in 2023.
  • Amy Pattelena produced a 24:05.6 6k at Gordon at the 2023.
  • Bailey Ford is the only other active Ram to run at the league championship on the North Short and came through the finisher's chute in 27:16.3.

SUFFOLK'S SCOUT

  • Sofia Moukaddem has the chance to make Suffolk women's cross country history Saturday as she races with CNE Individual Champion honors on her mind. A Ram has never captured the CNE individual title, however Emily Manfra and Emma Weisse captured the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Individual Crown in 2019 and 2018, respectively..
  • Grace Miller has a shot to finish right on Moukaddem's heels. If Moukaddem and Miller take the first two spots on the podium, it would be the first Suffolk duo to do so since Manfra and Weisse did in 2019 at GNACs.
  • Amy Pattelena looks to seal her spot in the Rams record book as well as the second-every Ram to capture four all-league honors. The senior aims to come through the chute in the top five.
  • Tess Drury will be going for a top 10 finish as well.
  • Suffolk is going to rely on freshman Chloe Koo as the fifth and final scorer.
  • Bailey FordGina Cappello and Katelyn Porter can all step up and score the team as well.
