BOSTON – No. 30 Suffolk women's cross country has taken its talents to Spartanburg, South Carolina, for the 2025 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships this Saturday, Nov. 22 at the Roger Milikin Cross Country Course. The Rams women will race as a team in the 6k at 11:00 a.m.

NATIONAL NOTES
- A total of 32 Women's cross country teams – the top seven-person team automatically qualified from each of the 10 regions and 22 additional teams were selected at-large -- will partake in the 2025 edition of the NCAA DIII Championships
- Along with the 32 seven-person rosters, 70 individuals, the first seven student-athletes from each region who are not a part of qualifying team, qualified for the final DIII cross country meet of the year
- The women's 6,000-kilometer run will open the day at 11 a.m.

HISTORICALLY SPEAKING
- Suffolk's 2025 women's squad is the first-ever team, both at the University and in the Conference of New England (CNE) annals, to earn a bid to the NCAA Championships.
- The Rams have sent three individuals on five different occasions to the national championships with the last being in 2023, Tim Barry.
- The last time a blue-and-gold women's runner competed at NCAAs was in 2019, when Emily Manfra ran for the second consecutive season.
- There has been one USTFCCCA All-American in Suffolk's history, Matyas Csiki-Fejer, who picked up the distinction in 2021 behind a 35th-place performance.

- The Rams women are the only CNE members to earn a spot at NCAA's this season.
ALL-AMERICA UP FOR GRABS
- Student-athletes who finish in the top-40 of their respective races this weekend at the 2025 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships in Spartanburg, South Carolina will earn the distinction of All-America status from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
- Suffolk has only had one cross country All-American, male or female, Matyas Csiki-Fejer in 2021.

REGIONAL RANKS
The historic week for Suffolk women's cross country continues as the Rams were featured in the U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Coaches' Poll for the first time in program history.
Suffolk sits 30th in the top-32 in the national poll released by the USTFCCCA following its first-ever berth to the NCAA Division III Championships.

ALL-REGION RECONGITION
The No. 30 Suffolk women's cross country saw three student-athletes run to a pair of all-region distinctions at the 2025 NCAA Division III East Regional Championships last Saturday, Nov. 15 at Hopkinton Fair Grounds in Hopkinton, New Hampshire.
Sophomore Tess Drury, junior Sofia Moukaddem and senior Amy Pattelena all earned both All-New England and All-East honors behind their performances at the regional race in the Granite State.

REGIONALS RECAP
Suffolk women's cross country compiled a record-setting Saturday, Nov. 15 as the Rams posted the program's best NCAA Division III East Regional performance as it finished fourth at Hopkinton Fair Grounds.
The blue-and-gold combined for 153 points on the regional course, which Suffolk hosted for the fourth time and third straight season. That number put the Rams in sole possession of fourth place, the best team at regionals in program history.

ALL-CONFERENCE
Recognition poured in for the five-team Conference of New England (CNE) Champs, the Suffolk women's cross country team, Thursday as Sofia Moukaddem was name CNE Runner of the Year, while five Rams raced to All-CNE distinction.
Along with the top honor, Moukaddem earned a place on the first team alongside Grace Miller, sophomore Tess Drury, and senior Amy Pattelena, while Chloe Koo rounded out the Rams on the third squad.
To earn an all-league honor, a student-athlete must earn a spot in the top-15 at the conference championship. For the second straight season, the accolades were broken down to first team (1-5), second team (6-10) and third-team (11-15).
