BOSTON – Suffolk men's ice hockey is in store for a full Conference of New England (CNE) as it set to take on Roger Williams and Wentworth. The Rams will visit the Hawks Friday, Nov. 7 at Driscoll Arena, before hosting the Leopards Saturday, Nov. 8 at 4:50 p.m. at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.

CONFERENCE DEBUTS

  • In five seasons in the CNE, Suffolk has yet to win a conference debut, 0-5-1. 
  • Five of the Rams conference openers have come on Suffolk's home ice including last season. The blue-and-gold is 0-4-1 in such instances. 
  • Suffolk skated as the away time in its CNE debut just once, in 2023.
  • There have been three shutouts in Suffolk's league debuts, all setbacks, including last season's 1-0 loss to Wentworth Nov. 8, 2024.
  • Suffolk will meet Roger Williams in its CNE opener for the first time.
  • The Rams are 0-3-0 in the first league game of the season under Shawn McEachern's guidance. 

HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS

  • Roger Williams enters the weekend at 1-0-0 after winning its inaugural varsity game, 4-3 versus UMass Dartmouth last Friday.
  • Daxton St. Hilaire posted a hat trick against the Corsairs, while TJ Sullivan tallied the fourth goal for the Hawks.
  • Jon Alger, Filip Kuba, Aidan Radic, Cooper St. Hilaire, PJ Sweeney, and Jason Tynan all sit at one assist on the young season.
  • Jacob Jaslow recorded 29 saves, good for a .906 save percentage in his first collegiate game.
  • Roger Williams is 0-4 on the power play and 8-9 with its penalty kill unit on the ice.

  • Ian Worthley (1g, 2a), Nicholas Ramm (1g, 1a) ang George Kolovos (1g, 1a) pace the Leopards offense through the first two games.
  • The goalie duties have been split by Jack McGovern (46 saves, .902 save percentage) and Topher Chirico (46 saves, .920 save percentage).
  • Wentworth is 0-4 on power play opportunities and stands at 6-9 on the penalty kill.

  • The contest marks the 50th all-time meeting between Suffolk and Wentworth.
