FALL RIVER, Mass. – Suffolk men's ice hockey picked up its first victory of 2025-26 as four Rams potted one goal en route to a 4-1 Conference of New England (CNE) triumph over Roger Williams Friday night at Driscoll Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Suffolk struck first as Quinn Booth netted a power play puck with help from Daniel McKiernan 6:57 into the contest.
- The Hawks flew back and leveled the playing field at 1-all 4:24 later thanks to Jon Alger, who was set-up by PJ Sweeney and Colin Kwak.
- Nolan Leonard pushed the blue-and-gold back in front has he converted Nick Liotino's pass into the go-ahead goal that made it 2-1 Suffolk with 5:39 remaining before the first intermission.
- Following a scoreless second, the Rams logged two more markers in the third thanks to Marko Giourof and Aidan O'Connell.
- On the defensive end, Austin McNicholas stopped the three shots RWU put on target in the last 20 minutes for the 4-1 final.
NETMINDER NOTES
- McNicholas logged nine saves in the victory.
- Jacob Jaslow registered 31 stops in the setback.
STATISICALLY SPEAKING
- Giouroff and Leonard compiled identical one-goal, one-assist stat lines.
- Booth and O'Connell added one goal each.
- Jake Grace, Nick Liotino, McKiernan and Tommy Whitford dished out one assist apiece.
- Suffolk commanded the pace of play as it outshot Roger Williams, 35-10.
- The Rams went 2-for-5 on the power play and successfully skated off three penalties.
NOTEWORTHY
- The Rams lifted the lid on their CNE campaign in the win column for the first time in program history.
- Suffolk is 1-5-1 in CNE openers.
- The blue-and-gold skated as the away team in its CNE debut for the second time in program history, first since 2023.
