Suffolk women’s hockey seal its spot in the Conference of New England (CNE) as the fifth-seed Rams took down the fourth-seeded Golden Bears of Western New England in a matinee at the Olympia Ice Center Wednesday.

For the first time in the all-time series Suffolk women’s hockey and Western New England needed overtime to decide a winner and the Rams prevailed in the Conference of New England (CNE) contest, 4-3, Saturday night at Olympia Ice Center. Kate Pohl potted the game-winning goal with 2:50 left on the clock in OT.

Suffolk women’s hockey will pull the curtain back on its seventh season at the Utica Kick-Off Tournament this weekend. The Rams will face No. 13 Utica in the season debut Friday, Nov. 1 at 4:00 p.m. and will take ON either No. 5 Elmira or Wilkes Saturday, Nov. 2 pending the results of game one.
