EAST BOSTON – Suffolk women's ice hockey's 2025-26 season debut was spoiled by Curry as the Colonels took the Rams down in Conference of New England (CNE) action, 6-3, Friday night at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Curry sandwiched goals around a Suffolk strike, which was produced by Cassie Borowski, in the first period to send the Rams into the locker room down one, 2-1.
• Laurel Potter leveled the playing field at 2-all 5:57 into the middle period as she struck with help from Aiden Levee-Oshiro and Tali Stein-Trujilo. 
• The score stayed locked at the second intermission. 
• The Colonels climbed ahead 4-2 as the poured in two unanswered in the first 4:07 into the third period. 
• Less than a minute later, Alexia Hill potted a power play puck to trim the deficit down to one. The sophomore was set-up by Liliana Moose and Jenna Caballero. 
• That's as close as the blue-and-gold would get as Curry closed the scoring with another pair of strikes for the 6-3 final. 

NETMINDER NOTES

• Katelyn Michals recorded 34 saves. 
• Coriann Hoag logged 27 stops. 

STATISTICALLY SPEAKING

• Borowski, Hill and Potter scored one goal apiece for Suffolk. 
• Caballero, Levee-Oshiro, Moose and Stein-Trujillo dished out one assist each. 
• Curry outshot Suffolk, 40-30. 
• The Rams went 1-for-4 on the power play, while the Colonels converted on all three of their man-up chances.  

NOTEWORTHY

• The Rams are 3-5-0 in season debuts. 
• Suffolk opened its season as the home team for the first time since 2021-22. 
• The blue-and-gold is 4-3-0 in its first conference contest of the year. 
• Suffolk played Curry in the CNE opener for the second time, first since 2022.
• The Rams are now 1-0-0 versus Colonels in the first CNE contest of the year. 
• The Rams played at home in the first CNE contest of a campaign for the first time since 2023-24.
