BOSTON – The Suffolk women’s soccer team’s attention has shifted to postseason play as the sixth-seeded Rams will take their talents to Providence, Rhode Island, Saturday, Nov. 1 to face third seed Johnson & Wales in the Conference of New England (CNE) First Round. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m.

SUFFOLK IN THE POSTSEASON

  • Suffolk returns to the CNE postseason after a year hiatus.

RAMS RUNDOWN

  • Suffolk secured its spot in the CNE postseason with a convincing 5-0 win over Nichols in the regular season finale Tuesday night to move to 9-3-5 on the year and ahead of Western New England in the CNE standings with a 4-3-3 league ledger, good for 15 points.
  • The Rams offense has picked up the pace as of late with seven goals over the last two games to bring the team's total to 29 on the year. 
  • Lily Goldmann (8g, 1a) and Daniela Petronio (6g, 2a) have been the crucial cogs in Suffolk's scoring unit as the lone players with double-digit point production. 
  • Avery Porter is on the verge of double figure points with four strikes and one helper.
  • Tatum Flynn has shown a knock for setting up the attack with a team-best four handouts to go along with one goal.  
  • Arden Rose and Jaiden Wilds have proven to be the one of the most successful keeper duos in NCAA Division III as the freshman and sophomore have combined for a dozen shutouts in 17 games and limit opponents to just 0.467 goals per game, which sits 26th in NCAA Division III. Rose boasts a 0.45 GAA and .889 save percentage. Wilds, meanwhile, brings in a 0.34 GAA and .895 save percentage. 

WILDCAT WAYS

  • Johnson & Wales ended the regular season with back-to-back ties, a 0-0 draw at Suffolk followed by a 1-1 stalemate against WNE, to bring an 8-7-3 overall mark into Saturday. 
  • Sophia Warburton is the main ingredient to the Wildcats attack with team-leading numbers in goals (7), assists (4) and points (4). 
  • Jessica Lee (3g, 3a) and Jamie Davies (3g, 2) are usual contributors to the offensive output as well. 
  • Kyla Stamilio (1.65 GAA, 0.661 save percentage) and Ava Vaughan (1.08 GAA, 0.851 save percentage) have split time in net. The former has 15 appearances, 11 starts, while the latter has played in 10 games, started seven.
