BOSTON – Suffolk women's soccer's quest for a league title continues Wednesday, Nov. 5 as the sixth-seeded Rams take their talents to second seed Endicott for the Conference of New England (CNE) Semifinals at 7 p.m.

SUFFOLK IN THE POSTSEASON

  • Suffolk returned to the CNE postseason after a year hiatus.

First half goals from Lily Goldmann and Isa Peraza anchored a Rams lead and the blue-and-gold's defense kept a Wildcats comeback at bay to push the sixth-seeded Suffolk women's soccer team to a Conference of New England First Round 2-1 upset win over third-seed Johnson & Wales Saturday night at Scots Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.

RAMS RUNDOWN 

  • Suffolk has won the past two games to move to 10-3-5 on the season, the program's fifth campaign with double-digit wins. 
  • The Rams offense has picked up the pace as of late with nine goals in the last three games to bring the season total to 31. 
  • Lily Goldmann (9g, 1a) and Daniela Petronio (6g, 2a) are the main scoring forces for Suffolk, while Avery Porter has pitched in four goals and one assist. 
  • Arden Rose has taken on the bulk of the work load in net. She sports a 0.49 GAA and .882 save percentage with eight clean sheets to her credit. 

GULLS GLANCE

  • Endicott, the co-regular season CNE Champion, took the second seed in the CNE Tournament behind a 7-3-0 league ledger. The Gulls bring a 10-7-1 overall record into Wednesday's action. 
  • The Gulls' 22-goal offense is well balanced with a bakers' dozen players with at least one goal to their credit. 
  • The trio of Hannah Lord (3g, 1a), Eliza Walker (3g) and Lily Miller (3g) have all produced a team-best three goals. 
  • Endicott uses two keepers on a usual bases in Amanda Cosgrove (0.96 GAA, .679 save percentage) and Samantha MacCormack (0.60 GAA, .783 save percentage). The pair have three shutouts apiece. 

WE MEET AGAIN
Suffolk women's soccer had its season-opening six-game unbeaten streak halted Saturday, Sept. 20 as Endicott handed the Rams a 1-0 Conference of New England (CNE) setback at Hempstead Stadium.
